On September 23, 1997 search engine Yandex-Web was announced. LLC "YANDEKS" as search began in 1993 when team together with Arkady Volozh and Ilya Segalovich - future founders of LLC "YANDEKS" - created system for information search on a hard disk of the computer. To improve search, the dictionary considering morphology of Russian was created. It was created in cooperation with Institute information transfer problems.
