The ambassador United Kingdom in Kiev Melinda Simmons took the initiative to change a transcription of a name of the new British king, having refused tradition of Russian in this respect. After Elizabeth II to the British throne there ascended her son Charles who was earlier carrying a title of the prince of Wales and now transferred him to the successor, the prince William.
