In Europe steel works started stopping because of expensive electricity

For support of branch state subsidies the Largest in Slovakia aluminum plant Slovalco can be demanded declared stop of production primary aluminia since September because of sharply increased cost of the electric power. The Bratislava newspaper Pravda reported on August 17 about it. The edition specifies that taking into account high prices of electricity production aluminia in 2023 "are economically inexpedient".
