The authorities of the capital Latvia made the decision to utilize a monument to Liberators after its dismantle. The town governor declared Riga Martinsh Stakis during performance on LTV TV channel, having explained that the monument allegedly is not of art value. The speech about a memorial to soldiers of the Soviet army freeing Latvia from fascist aggressors which since 1985 is established in Riga.
