Day of the parachutist to Russian Federation. The beginning of this informal holiday of professionals and fans of parachutism was necessary in 1930. On July 26 near Voronezh the group of pilots-parachutists headed by Mukhortov B., for the first time in national history made a series of parachute jumps from planes. The hobby for parachuting became so popular in the USSR that already by the end of 1931 the Soviet athletes executed about 600 training and indicative jumps.
