Inhabitants South Ossetia will be able to obtain the Russian nationality in the simplified order

For citizens South Ossetia will enter the simplified order of reception into the Russian nationality. The law (No. 86771-8) about ratification of the relevant agreement is accepted at plenary session of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on May 19. According to the deputy head Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko, the agreement was signed in Tskhinvali on September 20, 2021. "It is aimed at settlement of legal status of the people having a dual citizenship, smoothly from available nationality" — told Andrey Rudenko.
