Riga is freed from liberators

The monument to the Soviet soldiers liberators in Riga will be dismantled. Such decision on Friday was made by Duma of Riga. The authorities Latvia headed by the president Egils Levits consider a monument "as a splinter in soul of Latvians". In reply Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation accuses the leaders of the republic of "destruction of the base of the normal interstate relations and provoking of the interethnic conflict of the Latvian society". And in Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation threaten Riga with drastic measures, including economic character.
