In 2002 on the basis of Sakhaavia and Yakut Airlines airlines the state unitary enterprise JOINT-STOCK COMPANY "AIRLINE COMPANY "SAKHA (YAKUTIA) REPUBLIC" was created. On January 21, 2003 the first flight by TU-154M plane on a route Yakutsk – Moscow – Yakutsk under own YAK code was performed.
