On January 21, 2022 the vice-chairman Election commission of Tsentralny of the Russian Federation Nicholas Ivanovich Bulaev took part in public hearings of the draft of the federal law No. 40921-8 "About modification of Federal law of the Russian Federation of 12 June 2002 No. 67-FZ "On Basic Guarantees of Electoral Rights and the right of citizens of the Russian Federation to Participate in a Referendum" (regarding legislation improvement when carrying out remote electronic vote).
