The helicopter ceased to contact during educational flight in the evening on September 23. Soon its fragments were found in the remote area on a mountain slope Sharp. As reports Federal state unitary enterprise RAMI "RIA Novosti", rescuers could reach the accident site only in the morning on September 24. Searches took place in the remote district at the height more than 900 meters. The crashed helicopter belonged to aviation group of boundary managements Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on East Arctic area, on its board there were five people.
