In Ulagan district respublika Altay will construct new the airport. There allocated 16,4 hectares under a runway and already documents for development the project prepare. VPP will settle down lengthways roads from Ulagan to Balyktuyul in several kilometers from the district. "We hope that in the near future flights will be available to our inhabitants from Ulagan to Gorno-Altaysk" — the head of the area Vladimir Borisovich Chelchushev reported. The decision on construction was accepted at the request of the head of the region by Oleg Leonidovich Khorokhordin. It will be the fourth airport in respublika Altay.
