The Amur tigers need to be vaccinated for protection from chumki

Long time was considered that the Amur tigers who are under the threat of disappearance, domestic dogs infect with a virus chumki. Scientists from United States of America, United Kingdom and Russian Federation investigated virus genomes chumki and prevalence of antibodies to it at dogs. They found out that sources of an infection are small wild predators and vaccination of tigers can prevent infection only. Thus vaccination of only two tigers in a year will significantly reduce risk of extinction of a look because of chumki.
