10 years ago (2009) the Dzuarikau — <17> Tskhinvali gas pipeline was started. Construction the gas pipeline from Dzuarikau's village (Republic of North Ossetia-Alania) to Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) began in December, 2006. It was conducted in severe geological and climatic conditions of mountain part of Greater Caucasus: on sites with avalanche danger, in zones of landslides and rockfalls, on steep rocks, at tops of ridges and in gorges of the mountain rivers. Nearly a half of the highway is laid at the height over 1500 meters, and its highest mark — the Kudarsky pass - is at the height of 3148 meters...
