Deputies of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation want to celebrate a victory over Japan

17 deputies of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from Communist Party of the Russian Federation suggested to enter 9 May, Victory Day over militaristic Japan — on September 3 which was considered as a holiday for 50 years and was cancelled after disorder of the USSR. According to authors of the bill, revival of a holiday will emphasize "inadmissibility and groundlessness of any claims" on the sovereignty Russian Federation on Sakhalin Region and the Kuril Islands.
