As in the name Abaza intertwined antiquities and the present, and in life of this settlement sometimes it is impossible to separate the truth from fiction. The taiga here, nearby, is worth leaving for the suburb. And the settlement was formed because people got into a subsoil, began to extract ore.
Abakan good fortune
"Abakan in translation with Khakass - bear blood. Abaza - bear plant. Its history begins since 1768 when it was created Cossack zaimka the Big meadow. After ore stocks were found, the Abakan ironworks plant was formed. Near it – the village", - the director of museum of local lore Andriyasheva Nina tells.
the First data on local ores belong to 1856. Field called Abakan good fortune. The name went from the mountain Good fortune in which found iron.
the Moscow merchant Kolchugin Aleksey v1859-1865 was engaged years in construction of ironworks and iron plants. Here hired workers from the Ural plants, took also exiled of settlers of the Minusinsk district, participants of the Polish revolt of 1863, and also landless peasants of the Siberian provinces. And the whole village called Abakano-Zavodsky (in abbreviated form Abaza) was formed. But the plant did not bring expected wealth to the owner. Having wallowed in debt , Kolchugin Aleksey blew out the brains.

the Second owner of ironworks plant became the Petersburg official of mountain department, the big businessman Permikin Grigory. But also the plant of wealth did not bring to it.
"The daughter-in-law Permikin Grigory directed production. In spite of the fact that workers worked for 12 hours for kopeks, the hostess treated kindly. It was fair, - Andriyasheva Nina speaks. - But in a family there was a tragedy. Permikinykh had two sons. Playing the hunter and the bear, one of them removed a gun from a wall. Who knew that it is loaded! One of sons was lost. Then Permikin Grigory and the sister of the owner of plant get sick. The medicine was powerless".
By then the debt to workers makes about 14 thousand, and serving - 4,7 thousand rubles of a salary. Successors Permikin Grigory are recognized as poor debtors, and in 1889 the Abakan plant passes to working artel.
in honor of arrival of Crown Prince, future emperor Nikolay II, in 1891. And in 1900 samples of ore and the products of Abakan plant executed by masters in art molding, occupied an exposition at a World Fair in Paris. On plant there came representatives of English cooperatives - to look as it workers operate.
Despite external wellbeing, the old equipment wore out. The artel had no means neither for production expansion, nor for acquisition of the new equipment. Production since 1911 stood.
B signed by Stalina I. V. left 1943 the order about the organization of Abakan iron mine. Only on July 18, 1957 the first echelon with an iron ore concentrate was sent.
Why so close attention to mine? If there was no this production, there would be no Abaza. In Soviet period work on mine was considered as the prestigious. In the years of reorganization the sad fate of did not pass the city-forming enterprise. A year ago it was in a step from elimination. Today miners began a driving to the new field rich with iron.
Forgotten paradise
the Ancient estate of the merchant Kipreeva Anfiya - only remained in Abaza a historical monument of the past. Now there is a city museum of local lore. Powerful fence in some layers of a brick. We come into an arch door and we will come across an inscription "Forgotten paradise". Such is an idea of the organizer Andriyashev Vilenin - the true master of museum business. In total to Republic of Khakassia he created thirteen museums.
Here it is cozy and green. The high fence as though separates you from all vain. And here a stone, according to the legend, it is necessary to bypass three times and to make wish. And it will surely come true.

for the merchant Kipreeva Anfiya in 1895. From constructions there were the stone building with a basement, spacious barns, a stable. And the big wooden house with a verandah where there lived the merchant, alas, is sorted.

did the Main business of Willow-herbs by / , household products. Revolutionary events were reflected in destiny of the merchant. It was ruined, left familiar spots, under unknown circumstances was killed in one of the Khakass uluses.
the Rich estate did not manage to change owners. In 1919 the staff of a national team of Abakan ironworks plant here settled down. Then a staff red and the outpost frontier group, the first working club with the library collected on donations of inhabitants. It was considered as one of the best in the Yenisei province. Then in the former house of the merchant arranged militia point. When in Abaza the Village Council building burned down, administration for some time lodged in a mansion. And still the estate was imprinted by cinema-men. In 1977 the film studio of Gorky shot the movie "Do Not Put to the Wood Goblin a Trap". I only in 2003 in the estate opened the museum. There are the expositions which are visually proving that ancient people organized here parking, since IV-III centuries. B.C. It is possible to get acquainted with a life and culture of Khakas: the dwelling, ware, instruments of labor, the subjects connected with trade and craft occupations. The most significant exposition is devoted to history of ironworks plant. It is the hydroequipment collection which inventor is Cherkasov A. Ye., the native Abaza, and products of art molding.
the Hostess of the estate
A in the museum invisibly is present a ghost - an image of the woman at long clothes. With it, according to legends, the founder of the museum Andriyashev Vilenin met by whom it slowly walked. And still - the builders repairing the building.

"Somehow in the evening one remained in the room, the second left. The one who remained, sees that near the second there is a woman in white clothes. After that case worked at night, and slept off in the afternoon. Considered when light-, it will not leave. In vain thought, - Andriyasheva Nina tells. Also shows an amateur picture. - It on spring vacation for children held event. Someone photographed, and only in a picture found out that in a shot there are strangers. Or owners? ".
By the way, on assurances of old residents, it not the only photo to which shot the ghost got. Who is it? The destiny kupchikhi Kipreeva Anfiya is unknown. Or it is a klyuchnitsa Salova Maria? The estate museum keeps secret. Perhaps therefore the restless soul waiting for a solution goes, at times playing ancient grand piano or moving and interchanging the position of things.
Keepers of museum subjects assure
that the ghost does not do harm. It simply lives and, probably, protects a mansion. And in a cellar under the brick building there is an underpass which as speak, passes to the river bank Abakan. But the place where this course begins, is now concreted.
