Сегодня состоялся выход предварительного обновления Cataclysm Classic, что навсегда изменило облик классического Азерота и принесло невероятное число неполадок самого разного рода. Игроки вовсю жалуются на многочисленные как геймплейные, так и визуальные проблемы, омрачающие знакомство с обновленным миром.
Вот несколько примеров:
- Игроки стали получать огромное количество опыта за участие в сражениях на полях боя и, например, за победу в одном-единственном матче можно запросто повысить уровень персонажа с 21 до 63 или с 10 до 57. Разработчикам пришлось полностью отключить поля боя до исправления этой проблемы.
- Интерфейс работает некорректно и, например, на вкладке профессий вместо навыков ремесел иногда отображаются случайные умения персонажа, на вкладке героя порой не показываются все или некоторые его характеристики, нельзя осмотреть экипировку другого игрока, подсказки элементов интерфейса накладываются друг на друга и так далее.
- Как следствие, открыть окна некоторых профессий можно лишь с помощью специального скрипта.
- Также и покинуть группу случайно подобранного подземелья можно лишь с помощью скрипта.
- А в большинстве подземелий полностью пропали карты.
- Игроки полностью лишились некоторых важных навыков или способности своих классов, которые должны были остаться. Например, у жрецов пропала "Исповедь", у магов – "Огненная глыба", а у воинов – "Мощный удар щитом". Также и рыцари смерти не могут пользоваться кузней рун.
- Чат гильдии не работает и не отображает отправленные сообщения.
- При выходе из игры могут пропасть очки талантов, сами таланты и случайные способности.
- Некоторые предметы имеют ошибочные характеристики. Например, у наследуемых предметов присутствует прибавка к силе заклинаний, которой быть не должно.
Игроки также отмечают, что многие из этих проблем присутствовали во время бета-тестирования и люди сообщали о них разработчикам, но они так и не были исправлены. Сообщество подозревает, что команда WoW Classic сильно ограничена в ресурсах и по той или иной причине вынуждена спешить с запуском игры, а потому не успевает довести все до более менее-приемлемого уровня.

Classes
- Some pet classes will have their pet action bar missing after relogging.
- The Pet Action Bar does not have Assist (instead of Aggressive stance).
- Assist functionality does not appear to function for Warlocks and Hunters.
- Paladins’ Holy Power unconsumed by Word of Glory are not appearing on the Paladin Holy Power resource bar.
- New pets that hunters tame that are lower level than the hunter will not properly level up to match the hunter’s level automatically.
- Some pet classes may have their pet action bar missing after logging out in a non-rested area.
- Feral druid weapon normalization is not functioning properly, resulting in druids doing more damage than intended.
- Some spells are missing from players’ spellbooks, or located on the wrong page, or are appearing when they do not exist in Cataclysm.
Dungeons
- Maps are not displayed in some instances, such as Zul’Gurub or End Time.
- There is not currently a way to leave a random dungeon finder group via the UI.
- This is a very high priority issue that will be fixed as soon as possible.
- Workaround: type /script LeaveParty () in chat to leave the instance group.
Guilds
- Guild chat is not displayed as expected.
- This is a very high priority issue that will be fixed as soon as possible.
- Guild reputation is not granted when killing Heroic Dungeons bosses as part of a Guild Group.
- The Roster tab under guilds has a blank drop down menu that shows the edges of it when selected and nothing else.
Items
- Some heirloom items unintentionally have spell power.
Player Services
- The Race Change service is currently unavailable to Cataclysm characters.
Quests
- The Wintergrasp quests “Victory in Wintergrasp” and “No Mercy for the Merciless” are not rewarding the amount of honor listed in the quest description.
User Interface
- The Objective Tracker does not display all tracked objectives.
- Tab labels have layout issues.
- The Nameplate Unit Frame displays with errors and shows the raid marker placement overlay on the unit.
- The Player vs. Player tab goes behind other tabs instead of to the side, and cannot be closed by pressing Escape.
- While inspecting another player’s gear, their gear icons do not display within the UI.
- Text to Speech: ‘Speak for me in Voice chat’ is not currently functional.
- The Pet ability frame does not move properly with a scaling UI.
- Groups are missing the “Disenchant” option when looting.
As with any update, it is important to make sure that if you use addons that they have been updated.

We have turned off Battlegrounds while we investigate and fix an issue.

Cataclysm pre-patch 4.4.0 is now live, and we’re aware of and working on issues that are critically impacting guild chat.
We hope to have a solution deployed soon.
Until then, players can expect messages sent to guild chat will likely not be displayed.
